Walker Smith, 17, is fighting for his life at Holmes Regional Medical Center after being crushed by a bull in a tragic accident.
Walker “Hollywood” Smith suffered a tragic accident after being crushed on the chest by a bull during a competition in Florida last Friday (15).
The 17-year-old was airlifted in critical condition to Holmes Regional Medical Center after the accident.
“Walker is fighting for his life. He has tubes in both lungs and is connected to a ventilator. He still hasn’t moved his arms and legs, but he is showing small improvements every day. Small victories lead to big victories,” said his father, Danny Smith, to Fox5.
Danny informed that Walker will undergo a tracheotomy and the placement of a feeding tube. The young man has suffered a series of small strokes. He arrived at the hospital with collapsed lungs and brain bleeding.
The family launched a GoFundMe campaign to help with medical expenses. Over $5,000 have been raised so far.
Walker Smith started riding bulls at the age of 12. He trained with miniature bulls. “He never wasted a day, he always wanted to help the next generation. His only goal in life was to help those in need,” said his father.
